Masters Ski Race Training and
“All Mountain” Skill Improvement for Adults
Risk
Agreement Form
Then
the SARS Masters program is for you. We offer flexible training programs
designed to meet the needs of busy adults, on weekends or during the
week. The ability to ski Blue runs, love of the sport, and the
willingness to learn are all that’s required. You receive top notch
coaching in the latest in techniques in groups sharing your skills and
interests. You choose the extent of your participation: half a day in a
small group with an instructor to work on that perfect turn, up to 4
days a week running gates, or something in between. Gate training or
racing is not required, but is a lot of fun in friendly age-group
competitions.
Membership dues are $25 a ski season. Members receive access to the
best coaching on the mountain and dues purchase gates, radios for
safety, tools, panels, timing and video equipment, as well as fund
newsletters, handouts, and coaches education. Members then select the
training program which best suits their needs. Prices for coaching
range from a single day at $35 to $475 for the entire season, plus
concessionaire fee. Members may select a session with emphasis on
technique, slalom, giant slalom, or speed training (dependent on weather
conditions). Click
here for this year’s schedule and
cost information.
The
coaching staff is composed of coaches with extensive experience in
training junior Olympic caliber racers as well as instructing adults.
Gate training is on full length technical courses, the kind you find in
US Ski Association Masters
races. Members are encouraged to join the U.S. Ski Association to race
in competitions at Schweitzer, 49N, and other northwest Resorts such as
Big Mountain, Sun Valley, Mt Bachelor and Park City, and others around
the country. Click here for the
