SARS JUNIOR PROGRAMS

Junior Part Time The SARS part time Junior Program is a great way to transition from the Youth Ski League Program. This group focuses on cutting edge skill development both in and out of gates while having the opportunity to compete approximately two weekends per month. Part time Juniors typically train most Friday, Saturday, and Sundays as well as any holidays. This program begins at Schweitzer the first weekend of December.
Ages: J3 and older athletes (13 and older)
Season: First Weekend of Schweitzer operations in December through Northwest Cup Finals in early April
Training: 2-3 days per week and Holidays in season at Schweitzer
Camps: Thanksgiving Camp in Canada, and December Holiday Camp at Schweitzer
Races: Option of PNSA races throughout Oregon Washington and Idaho
Dryland: Organized sessions beginning in October

Junior Full Time This is a full time Racing and Training group that competes at Northwest Cup events, Evergreen Cup events, J3 events and Junior Olympic events. It is designed for J1 and J2 athletes racing in PNSA and J3 athletes looking for additional training opportunities. Athletes’ individual needs are met based on tactical, technical, and competitive goals.
Ages: J3 and older athletes (13 and older)
Season: Begins with option of fall skiing projects in November thru Northwest Cup Finals in early April
Training: Option of four days per week and early season training projects
Camps: Fall training projects beginning in November including training options in: Colorado, Panorama, Nakiska, and support at Regional Preparation Projects
Races: Option of USSA and FIS races throughout PNSA, J3 Junior Olympics, and Western Region Junior Championships
Dryland: Organized sessions beginning in October

FIS / PG The SARS FIS/PG program is a year-round full service four event program designed to lead athletes to the National team and Collegiate racing levels with a proven successful staff. Our FIS Team operates with a very small athlete to Coach Ratio in order to simulate the success of the National Team. Individual training and racing programs are developed based on athlete goals. This group is supported with Home Hill Coaches at most FIS, National Championship, and North American Championship Series Races.
Ages: J2 and Older (15 and older)
Season: Year round staff-support
Training: Wednesday through Sunday in season on snow training
Camps: Fall training projects beginning in September including training options in: Colorado, Panorama, Nakiska, and support at Regional Preparation Projects
Races: FIS Racing- Divisionally, Regionally, Nationally, and Internationally
Dryland: Daily dryland sessions beginning in September at Sandpoint. 1 day per week team sessions beginning in October. Additional individual off-season dryland conditioning programs designed upon request.
