YSL Holiday Camp
SARS Holiday Camp is a great way for young skiers to get a taste of the programs SARS has to offer. Whether the skier is in town only for the Holiday Season, wants to jump-start their ski year, or is trying SARS for the first time, Holiday Camp is a great introduction to the SARS experience. As always, Holiday Camp tuition will be applied to the appropriate program tuition if the athlete chooses to continue the season with SARS.
Ages: Athletes 5 - 12 years old (on Jan 1, 2012)
Season: Holiday Camp runs from December 27 thru 31 (5 days)
Races: Holiday Camp concludes with the first Home Series Race
YSL STARS
STARS skiers improve their skiing and racing skills by skiing with enthusiastic and experienced coaches Saturdays throughout the season. The STARS skier must be a proficient intermediate skier who loves to be challenged by new terrain and the excitement of racing in the SARS Home Series races at Schweitzer.
Ages: Athletes 5 and 6 years old (on Jan 1, 2012)
Season: Holiday Camp (December 27 -31) through
March 31
Training: Saturdays during January, February and
March at Schweitzer
Camps: December Holiday Camp included in program

YSL Saturdays
The SARS one day program skis every Saturday throughout the season. One day per week skiers focus on skill acquisition through directed free-skiing and race training with their coaches. These skiers compete in the SARS Home Series races at Schweitzer and may also choose to compete at a portion of the Emerald Empire (EEYSL) youth races.
Ages: J6 - J4 athletes (7-12 years old on Jan 1, 2012)
Season: December 10 through March 31
Training: Saturdays during the season at Schweitzer
Camps: December Holiday Camp included in program cost
Races: Athletes compete at Home Series races at Schweitzer with the option of participating in EEYSL races
YSL 2 Day
The SARS two day program is designed for skiers ready for a season of racing in the EEYSL. On Saturdays and Sundays throughout the season, the two day skiers divide their time between Free-skiing with coaches and race training. The two day skiers are challenging themselves through skiing expert terrain in all conditions while also learning race specific techniques and tactics.
Ages: J6 - J4 athletes (7-12 years old on Jan 1, 2012)
Season: December 10 through April 1
Training: Saturdays and Sundays during the season at Schweitzer
Camps: Coaching fees for Thanksgiving Panorama camp included. December Holiday Camp also included
Races: Athletes compete at Home Series races as well as in the EEYSL series throughout the Inland Northwest
Dryland: Beginning in October
YSL Full Time
The SARS YSL Full Time program is designed for the SARS athlete with a full racing schedule, including championship events, as their goal and focus. On Saturday and Sunday, these athletes may ski with two day skiers. The three day program adds Friday training as a more intensive day for young skiers to prepare for the highest level of youth competition in the Pacific Northwest. This program prepares the YSL athlete for the transition to Junior racing by making the skiers comfortable with all terrain and ski conditions in conjunction with having more race training time.
Ages: J6 - J4 athletes (7-12 years old on Jan 1, 2012)
Season: December 9 through April 1
Training: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the season at Schweitzer
Camps: Coaching fees for Thanksgiving Panorama camp
included. December Holiday Camp also included. Three day J4 athletes
may also be eligible to participate in speed camps and speed
training sessions offered by the SARS Junior program at Schweitzer
Races: Athletes compete at Home Series races as well as in the EEYSL series throughout the Inland Northwest
Dryland: Beginning in October
